THE Swindon & Cricklade Railway has launched an SOS appeal after a suspected arson attack left the mainstay of their passenger timetable gutted.

Class 207 ‘Thumper’ DEMU No. 1302 (207203) arrived at Blunsdon in late November 2004 from Porterbrook Leasing in full working order.
Porterbrook had offered several ‘Thumpers’ free of charge to preservation lines through Heritage Railway with the imminent ban on slam-door stock on the main line.
