DESPITE repeated warnings about the dangers, a number of Flying Scotsman spectators have continued to ignored appeals by British Transport Police not to trespass trackside when the A3 is due to pass.
Helicopter snaps Scotsman trespassers on camera
One of the aerial photographs released by British Transport Police showing alleged trespass. This view was taken at Tollerton on May 14.
Photographs taken from a helicopter on May 14 when the A3 worked between Newcastle and York, and provided by Network Rail, are now being used as part of police safety operations.
In June, they were released to the media in the hope that members of the public might identify the alleged trespassers.
