TICKETS to ride behind Flying Scotsman and Tornado during the Severn Valley Railway’s September 22-26 Pacific Power event may have sold out – but there are plenty of choice locations to watch them in action from the lineside.
In one of the biggest heritage steam events that the SVR has ever hosted in its 51-year history, the appearance of both locomotives has generated unprecedented interest from across the country, with tickets to ride behind the engines selling out at the fastest rate that the railway has ever seen.
Owing to the huge popularity of the event, the SVR is urging members of the public to plan their visit well in advance.

To avoid overcrowding during the event, access to the SVR’s six stations will be limited, with only those holding pre-booked event tickets being guaranteed access to platforms. Tickets will not be available on the day and must be pre-booked, and any lost tickets cannot be replaced. Car parking at the stations will also be significantly limited.
