This video sequence comprises of steam action from around the country on both the main line and preserved heritage lines during the first part of 2011.
Starting in January, Ivatt Class 2 No.46443 and the sole surviving Caprotti Class 5 No.73129 are seen at the East Lancashire Railway before the Great Central Railway is visited for the Winter Gala.
The February Steam Gala at the Worth Valley Railway is featured along with Gala footage from the West Somerset Railway.

There’s a look in at the Mid Hants. Railway, where the U Class 2-6-0 No.31806 has just entered traffic and at the Llangollen Railway, where the Great Western Railmotor is seen in all its splendour.
The “Dukedog” Class 4-4-0 No.9017 makes a visit to the South Devon Railway whilst on the narrow gauge front at the Talyllyn Railway there’s a welcome back for Dolgoch.
Black Five no.44871, No.5690 Leander, no.71000 Duke of Gloucester and No. 60019 Bittern (as No.4492 Dominion of New Zealand) are all captured out on the national rail network.
Presented by On Track Productions this sequence is made up of footage that will feature in future DVD releases.
