South Devon Railway’s kids go free offer extended

Due to popular demand, South Devon Railway is extending its kids go free offer until September 6.

Initially planned to end on August 10, the offer is now being carried on into next month to coincide with the return to school. Railway bosses say they decided to keep the offer going as the response from families had been so high.

The SDR’s general manager, Ernest Elsworth-Wilson, said: “Family trips can be expensive and we always want to provide a great day out at a really affordable price.”

The SDR is a seven-mile former Great Western Railway branch line, built in 1872, which runs along the stunning valley of the River Dart between Buckfastleigh and Totnes.
